Why are some performances expensive?

As a touring venue, a number of aspects are determined by the visiting company. Some pricing considerations are based the number of people involved, production costs and royalties. Within these restrictions and as a registered charity, The Lowry works to present a wide range of content at a variety of prices that are fair and comparable. 

Alongside this, we are also very committed to developing audiences, especially in Salford through schemes such as ‘Our Lowry’ and ‘My First Lowry’ and engaging young people in theatre through our ‘Under 26’ project, which all seek to make theatre accessible to a range of audiences.
